So it’s the end of June, Its Winter, it’s been a cold wet miserable week. In fact it’s raining outside right now and today is the shortest day of the year. Surly not a good time to sell your home right?

So when is the best time to sell you ask?

Well i’ll give you a red hot tip!

The best time to sell your property is when it has as least competition in the market as possible.

The more homes for sale, the more choice buyers have, the more in control they are.

Now Spring and Summer is traditionally selling season which brings more properties to market which gives buyers more choice. On the flip side Winter traditionally sees less homes for sale at any one time which gives buyers less choice.

Check out this slide from RPData which shows the median house prices in Cronulla for the previous 12 months and you will note that June, July, August the Winter months were in fact the time of year where we saw the higher median house prices.

So don’t discount Winter when it comes to selling your home. It might be the time of year for your place to SHINE!!!
